Ramada employee fights off armed robber at Kenmount Road hotel

An armed robber got more than he bargained for in St. John's on Mondaynight.

The man, who police say was roughly 30 years old,tried to hold up the Ramada hotel on Kenmount Road, but an employeewas reluctant to let the man get away with it.

Police say the two got into a struggle before the suspect fled from the scene.

No injuries were reported, and it's not clear if the suspect got away with any cash or goods from the store.

Police didn't say what kind of weapon was used.

No arrests have been yet made.
