The second-degree murder trial of Raymond Stacey will resume on Tuesday.

Jurors seeking exemptions; further delay Monday due to reason covered under publication ban

The trial of Raymond Stacey, left, for second-degree murder of Clifford Comerford, has been delayed.

The second-degree murder trial of Raymond Stacey will resume on Tuesday.

Stacey, 25, is charged with stabbing a co-worker, Clifford Comerford, in Mount Pearl in January 2015.

The trial, which was scheduled to begin Monday morning at Supreme Court in St. John's,was delayed in the morning with some jurors seeking exemptions.

The trial was also pushed back on Monday foranother reason, whichcannot be reported under a publication ban.

It will resume on Tuesday morning, andthe court is expected to continue to decide on potential exemptions for some jurors.
