Road racing suspect broke curfew: RCMP

A man accused of driving a senior citizen off a regional highway in central Newfoundland last year was taken into custody for violating the terms of his curfew.

A man accused of driving a senior citizen off a highway in central Newfoundland last yearhas beentaken into custody for violating the terms of his curfew.

A bail hearing was scheduled Tuesday for Richard Glibbery, 21, whois facingcharges ofstreet racing causing death by criminal negligence, as well as other counts.

He and Ryan Watkins were charged after Boyd's Cove resident Henrietta Head, 71, died last May, whenher carwent off a highway and into the water. Her car was found partially submerged.

The RCMP said Glibbery was arrested on Friday, afterpolice did a spot check on his home and found that he had missed his curfew.

The RCMP said Glibbery is also charged with breaching a court order forbidding him from consuming alcohol.
