St. John's calls for applicants for Kenmount Terrace committee

The City of St. John's is looking for applicants to sit ona steering committee for a new park project in the Kenmount Terrace neighbourhood.

According to a statement from the city, it'slooking for city staff, council members and the general public to sit on the committee.

Four to six community representatives will be selected from the interested applicants.

According to the city's release, the steering committee will provide feedback to the consultant for the Kenmount Terrace Community Park planning, guide public engagement through the process, and present a final plan to council for approval.

The city is looking for a mix of people from the Kenmount Terrance and Thorburn Road area to sit on the committee.

"Selected representatives will provide a conduit to the community and will be tasked to bring information about the project to their own networks and to relay back to the project team," said the city's release. "This requires attendance at all public information sessions as well as other public engagement activities and participation in meetings of the full steering committee."

Deadline for application is Feb. 23 at noon.
