Police in British Columbia say they haven't given up their search for a man originally from the Goulds area of St. John's.

Police in British Columbia say they haven't given up their search fora man originally from the Goulds area of St. John's.

Chris Hannaford, 28,has been missing from the Harrison Lake area, east of Vancouver, since Sunday.

Police said there was no formal search Thursday, but Const. Tracy Wolbeck said the RCMP will keep looking for Hannaford.

"We're investigating all the potential avenues at this point. We're going to reconvene and have a look at which direction the investigation needs to take from this point on, and where our search needs to lead us," said Wolbeck.

On Wednesday, a dive team searched the Fraser River near where Hannaford went missing.

Hannaford is described as 64" tall, 240 pounds, heavy build, blue eyes, shaved blonde-red hair. He was last seen wearing black track pants, a T-shirt and a pullover sweat shirt.

He has been living in Surrey, B.C., for several years.

Police said there is no indication of foul play.
