Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in Conception Bay North death

A man has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to a death police are investigatingin Conception Bay North on Wednesday.

Patrick Sulurayok, 30, of Nunavut has been arrested and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.

RCMP were called at 9 p.m. NT Tuesdayto the Roaches Line area, where officers found an unresponsive man.

Policesay he died after being taken to the Carbonear Hospital.

No other details are immediately available, including the age of the man or the circumstances of his death.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is engaged and the RCMP's major-crimes unit and forensic identification services remain on the scene.

The investigation is continuing
