Suspicious death under investigation in North River

The Trinity Conception RCMP is investigating the suspicious death of a man in North River.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a residence in the community to a male suffering from serious injuries.

Police said the man died from his injuries, and the death is being treated as suspicious.

The RCMP, along with the Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services, are investigating the incident.

Police said they currently don't have anyone in custody.

The North River Road has been closed, except to local traffic, as the investigation continues.

The name of the man has not been released by police.
