Trevor Pardy to be sentenced Friday; faces at least 25 years without parole

Convicted murderer Trevor Pardy will be sentenced at the end of the week for gunning down his ex-girlfriend Triffie Wadman four years ago.

Convicted murderer Trevor Pardy will be sentenced at the end of the week for gunning down his ex-girlfriend Triffie Wadman four years ago.

Pardy, 38, was found guilty by an 11-person jury late Friday afternoon of first-degree murderafter less than two hours of deliberation.

A sentencing hearing Friday will givethe Wadman family a chance to present their victim impact statements.

Wadman, 30,mother of one, was shot and killed on Boggy Hall Place in the west end of St. John's in October 2011.

Pardy was also found guilty of using a gun during an indictable offence and having a gun where he was not permitted.

SincePardy is convicted of first-degree murder, he won't be eligible for parole for at least 25 years.
