1 dead, 1 injured after police find men unconscious in Yellowknife

An RCMP major crimes unit is investigatingwhat killed one man and left another with serious injuries, after police found them both unconscious in an apartment unit on the third floor ofSunridge apartmentsin Yellowknife.

When police reached the "seriously injured' men early Sunday morning they were both transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital, where one of them died. The other has been transferred to Edmonton by medevac due to the severity of his injuries.

The RCMP will work with the chief coroner of the Northwest Territories to determine the cause of the death.

Police say no further information will be released at this time.
