Alaska Highway crash results in serious injuries

RCMP say there were serious injuries in a crash involving a pickuptruck and a three-wheel motorcycle on the Alaska Highway this afternoon.

Police could not sayhow many people were involved in the incident, but confirmed there were serious injuries.

A section of highway, that runs through Whitehorse, was temporarily closed because of thetwo-vehicle accident. Southbound traffichad to be diverted around the scene of the accident as emergency crews cleared the area.Traffic on the highway was slowed for more than an hour.
