Yellowknife RCMP arrest man suspected of assault and robbery of taxi driver

Yellowknife RCMP arrested a man suspected of the assault and robbery of a taxi driver in an alley in the 54th St.area downtown on Thursday morning.

According to a police statement,RCMP responded just after 11:30 a.m. to the report of the assault and robbery, and arrested a suspect in the area fleeing on foot.

The taxi driver was treated for minor injuries.

No other details have been released.
