3rd blizzard in 2 weeks forces closures in Iqaluit
Environment Canada predicting wind gusts of 80 km/h and windchill of -45 C
A third blizzard in two weeks has once again forced closures across Iqaluit.
Environment Canada is predicting the storm to last throughout the day with wind gusts of 80 km/h and windchill temperatures of -45 C.
The City of Iqaluithas suspended municipal services, and it's advising peoplenot to venture out in the community.
The Government of Nunavut, which initially told employees its Iqaluit offices wereopen, are now closed.
All First Air flights in and out ofIqaluit have been cancelled for the day.
The Qikiqtani General Hospital is open for emergencies only.
