Canadian North strike averted

The airline and the union representing some of its workers, reached a tentative deal late Tuesday night.

It looks likeastrike has been averted at Canadian North airline.

The airline and the union representing some of its workers, reached a tentative deal lateTuesday night.

About 160 staff, including ticket agents and cargo workers, were in a legal strike position.

But the union, UNIFOR, has halted strike preparations now that there's a tentative agreement.

UNIFOR is not saying anything about what's in the proposed three-year deal.

Ratification meetings will be held in the coming days, at all of Canadian North's bases.
