Four out of the sevencouncillorspresent said No last night to a planto build a temporary camp for up to 250 workers needed to build the new Stanton hospital.

Several concerns were raised during a noon hour council session Monday.

Among them: that the camp would encroach on the peace and quiet of a nearby residential neighbourhood, and that the camp idea was being proposed so late in the game, and on a short timeline.

Councillors Adrian Bell, Julian Morse, Rommel Silverio and Shauna Morgan voted against the plan. Councillors Linda Bussey, Rebecca Alty and Steve Payne voted for it.
