Yellowknife RCMP make arrest in Dettah aggravated assault

Yellowknife RCMPhave arrested a man in connection withan aggravated assault in Dettahearly this morning.

Police gotacall at around 4 a.m. about a disturbance at a home in the community.

In a news release, police say officers found a "grievously" injured manat the home and he was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital by ambulance.

A suspectwas arrested this afternoon at a homein Yellowknife. Police say no charges have been laid yet and the investigation is ongoing.
