In Ungava, Quebec's largest electoral district, housing is the big issue facing candidates in the provincial election campaign.

Ungava comprises the Inuit communities of Nunavik and the James Bay Cree communities ofEeyouIstchee.

Ungava's current MNA agrees. TheParti Quebecois'LucFerlandwants to put infrastructure development at the top of the agenda for Quebec's north.

He says it's unacceptable that in this day and age the people ofNunavikhave to pay such high costs for goods.

Liberal challenger Jean Boucher is vowing to fight Nunavik'sgrowing rent prices.

Michael Cameron is running for theCoalition Avenir Qubec, and AndrRicher is running for the Qubec Solidaire party.

The Quebec provincial election is slated forApril 7.
