Iqaluit man charged in spouse's death

RCMP in Iqaluithave charged a man in the death of his spouse over the weekend.

Amos Ootoova, 46, is charged with second-degree murderinthe death of Della Ootoova, also 46, police said Monday.

Police said officers were called to a residence in the Nunavut capital early Saturday, when they foundDella Ootoova lying on the floor.

She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been ordered.
