Yukon's Department of Education says the old F.H. Collins Secondary School in Whitehorse has been picked clean.

Everything that could be moved was up for grabs.Education spokesperson Shannon Trott said the department got the first chance to claim items like desks and lockers.

"After Yukon Education went throughall of our schools, we offered [items] to the Yukon government," Trott said.

"Wildland Fire Management... took the entire kitchen so the kitchen is now in Dawson being used at their new facility and then after the government we offered to non-profits."

There has been a lot of interest in the hardwood floor from the old gym. Trott said students in the woodworking program at the new F.H. Collins are getting it to use for projects.

Students moved from the old school to thenew one earlier this year. The government hopes to demolish the building this summer.
