Jessica Frotten wins bronze medal, could take another

Yukon wheelchair athlete Jessica Frotten has another opportunity for a medal today at the Parapan-Am Games, after a bronze medal win Thursday.

Yukon wheelchair athlete Jessica Frotten has another opportunity for a medal today at the Parapan-Am Games.

She won bronze yesterday in the final of the women's 100-metre wheelchair race, finishing with a time of 19.25.

Ilana Dupont, afellow Canadian, took silver; an athlete from Bermuda took gold.

Earlier in the day, Frotten narrowly missed-out of a podium position in the 800-metre final.

She placed fourth with a time of 2:59 secondsjust a second behind the third place finisher.

Frotten races again today in the final of the 400-metre wheelchair race, scheduled for 4:45 PT.
