Matthew Devellano homicide investigators search Whitehorse home

Yukon RCMP searched a home in Whitehorse this morning in connection with the shooting death of Matthew Devellano.

Home in Baranov neighbourhood searched Thursday morning

Yukon RCMP searched a home in Whitehorse this morning in connection with the shooting death of Matthew Devellano.

Devellano, 32, was shot the night of Oct. 7outside a home on Stan McCowan Place in the Porter Creek neighbourhood. Hewas taken to Whitehorse General Hospital but died as a result of his injuries.

Police say investigators from Yukon'sMajor Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the Baranov neighbourhood, Thursday morning. Officers from the forensic identification unit and Whitehorse RCMP assisted in the search.

Police say no arrests have been madeand the investigation is continuing.
