Miles Canyon search continues for man missing in Yukon River

Whitehorse RCMP continue to search for the body of a 19-year-old man whofell or jumped into the Yukon River at Miles Canyon on Monday afternoon.

Miles Canyon is a recreational area south of Whitehorse popular withhikers, cyclists and paddlers.

An RCMP spokesperson says a dive team may be sent into the river and Schwatka Lake over the weekend butit depends upon whether conditions are considered to be safe enough.
