N.W.T. offering up 22 cabin lots along Ingraham Trail

The territorial government is opening up more space for cabins along the Ingraham trail east of Yellowknife.

A ballot draw will be held this summer for 22lots for lease, a news release says, including:

• 2 onReid Lake,
• 7on Tibbitt Lake,
• 5on Peninsula Lake,
• 1 on Pontoon Lake,
• 6 on Prelude Lake,
• and 1 on Madeline Lake.

All of the vacant lots are in sixpre-surveyedsubdivisions. The remainder of the area around the Ingraham Trail and Highway 3 remains off-limits to new cabin leases for the next 18 months as the government continues its consultations on recreational land use.

More information on the lots, including information on how to enter the draw, will be posted on the Lands department website on May 1.
