A new harbour is almost complete in Pangnirtung, Nunavut. Some people are already using the harbor to tie small boats.

Ron Mongeau,Senior Administrative Officer with the hamlet, says the project will benefit the fledglinglocal fishing industry.

"We've got a harbour that's accessible anytime and we've got enough room and depth for vessels of up to one hundred feet to come in and dock at out permanent dock. This is certainly and advantage to the fishing component," he said.

The project has been in construction since 2009. (Photo courtesy of David Kilabuk
