A truck carrying 43,000 litres of propane rolled over on the Dempster HighwayWednesday.

RCMP said the truck was headed north when the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the road at kilometre 266, near the Ogilvie-Peel lookout.

The vehicle is partially blocking the road, police said, but one lane of the highway remains open to traffic.Authorities say the truck's propane tank was not damaged and no gas leaked.

The driver was taken to hospital in Dawson City. Police said his injuries aren't life threatening. Alcohol isn't considered a factor in the crash, and road conditions are currently poor, with blowing snow reported in the area.

Officials from Environment Yukon, Yukon Highways and Public Works and Transport Canada are investigating the incident.
