Yukon RCMP say they've disrupted a major drug supply pipeline into the territory.

Cpl.Calista MacLeod says the lengthy investigation continues, but it's a significant case.

"[It's] definitely one of the most significant organized crime investigations in our territory to date," she said. "The investigation targeted the supply pipeline that's been bringing in illegal drugs in kilogram quantities and this resulted in the seizure of substantial amounts of cocaine and marijuana that was destined for Yukon communities."

Two men were arrested in Surrey, B.C., and a third was arrested in Whitehorse.

The 34-year-old man arrested in Whitehorse has been charged with five counts of trafficking cocaine, two counts of trafficking marijuana and one count of conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

The two men in B.C. have been chargedwith two counts each of trafficking cocaine and one count each of conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

Charges of possession of the proceeds of crime are pending against two other men.

It is not know whether any of the men charged are Yukon residents.
