Student arrested after entering Nunavik school with loaded rifle

A student whoentered a school in Nunavik with a loaded rifle was arrested by policethis afternoon. There were no injuries.

The incident happened at Iguarsivik School in Puvirnituq, Que.

In a news release, theKativikSchool Board says the student whoentered the school with therifle was searching for another student.

It says police were alerted immediately and security procedures were followed.

Police arrested the student outside the school.
