The Na Cho Nyak Dun First Nation in Yukon has signed a deal with the owners of the Dublin Gulch gold discovery.

Victoria Gold Corp. says property could yield millions of ounces of gold

The Na Cho Nyak Dun First Nation in Yukon has signed a deal with the owners of the Dublin Gulch gold discovery.

The 300-square-kilometre property in the centre of the territory is believed to contain more than five million ounces of gold.

Victoria Gold Corp., which owns the deposit, says it will double the size of its holdings by staking the neighbouring lands held by the First Nation. The company and the First Nation are continuing negotiations for an agreement to set out the terms for exploration work on the land.

Chief Simon Mervyn says Victoria Gold has demonstrated a strong commitment to the First Nation in terms of business development and environmental stewardship.
