Yukon's Kluane National Park commemorated in new stamp

A Yukon landmark is now featured on a Canadian stamp. Today, Canada Post released five stamps featuring locations around the country that have been designated UNESCO Heritage sites, with one featuring Kluane National Park and Reserve.

A Yukon landmark is now featured on a Canadian stamp.

Today, Canada Postreleased five stamps featuring locations around the country that have been designated UNESCO Heritage sites. One of them features Kluane National Park and Reserve.

The stamp recognizes the 97,000-square-kilometreun-broken chain that includes Kluane National Park, B.C.'s Tatshenshini-Alsek Park, Alaska's Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, and Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

The stamp is being formally unveiled at a ceremony this afternoon in Haines Junction, and is a $2.50 denomination, suitable for international mailing.
