Amherst fire displaces family of six

Six people are out of their home after a firelast night in Amherst.

The Canadian Red Cross says it happened on Fullerton Street, a neighbouring home had to be evacuated as a precaution.

The couple and four children are staying with a relativefor now.

The Red Cross is assisting with blankets and toys and other supplies.

The mother and a one-year-old were checked for smoke inhalation. There were no serious injuries.

No word yet on a possible cause of the fire.
