Singh brothers' joyous dance at Peggys Cove has been shared 200,000 times
Ever wanted to learn how to dance Bhangra?
CBC Radio's Information Morning hosts Don Connolly and Louise Renault got a private lesson from the pros this week.
Brothers Hasmeet and Kunwardeep Singh came into CBC studios to show the hosts some of their moves.
The pair are part of the Maritime Bhangra Group whose video of them dancing on the rocks at Peggys Cove, N.S., has been watched more than 200,000 times since it was posted on Friday.
The group has been performing around theprovince for the past three years. Hasmeet said he wanted to make adancevideoto highlight the scenery of Nova Scotia for people who don't know about it.
He also said dancing on those angled rocks at one of Nova Scotia's most iconic sites was tricky. They made sure to stay well back from the dangerous wet rocks, he added.
The Singhs say Bhangra is a dance of joy. It originates from the agricultural state ofPunjabas a celebration of the harvest.
