A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the November 2008 shooting of Michael Patriquin Jr.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the November 2008 shooting of Michael Patriquin Jr.

Patriquin Jr., the son of Michael Patriquin, the founder of the Nova Scotia Marijuana Party, was hospitalized with serious injuries from a single gunshotduring anattack at a home in Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax Regional Police and RCMP arrested the teen Saturday at the Nova Scotia Youth Facility in Waterville, wherehe was in custody on another matter, officers told the Chronicle Herald.

The teen is expected to appear in a Halifax courtroom Monday.

A second man already faces attempted murder charges in the case. Sergio Davidson Bowers, 20, was arrested in November shortly after the attack.
