The CBC Nova ScotiaDo Crew'sfirst event was a resounding success!

We showed up on a sunny Thursday, January 28, to hang drywall in a duplex being built by Habitat For Humanity Nova Scotia in Spryfield. After the first demonstration (drywalling 101) by Keith, a real carpenter, the Do Crew dove into the work.

It was wonderful to meet the homeowner, Monique Francis, who was there putting in her volunteer hours as well. The crew was even fed chili and sweets by the next-door neighbour who also lives in a Habitat house. The folks at Habitat For Humanityprovided protective gear, tools, guidance and great training.

A big thank you to our Do Crew for the day: Gordon, Wayne, Laurie, David, Nancy, Kelly, Joy, Fabian, Trudy and Nick. Thank you for all your hard work and good humour on the day.An auspicious beginning!Stay tuned to hear about our next event!

If you know of an organization that could use the Do Crew's help, get in touch!
