Cops probe latest Halifax shooting

Police in Halifax are looking for suspects in the fourth shooting in the region in the past two weeks.

Police in Halifax are looking for suspects in the fourth shooting in the region in the past two weeks.

Kevin James Bowser, 28, of Dartmouth died in hospital after he was shot on Halifax's Uniacke Street on Saturday night.

He was gunned down around 10 p.m. outside the home of his ex-girlfriend after a brief visit. Witnesses reported hearing five or six shots.

"We always know within a very short period of time who is responsible for these types of things and I'm comfortable that we know who is responsible for that one," says Halifax Regional Police Chief Frank Beazley.

"Now it's that slow, long process of gathering the evidence you need to put somebody before the courts, if you can get that evidence."

This is the fourth shooting in the Halifax area in 10 days. No arrests have been made in any of the cases.
