A Dartmouth, N.S., boxer who has been training since he was eight is preparing to fight in the summer Olympics.

Dartmouth, N.S.,boxer Custio Clayton is one of two Canadians fighters who will represent the country at the Olympic Games this summer.

Clayton was just eight years old when he first walked into the City of Lakes Boxing Club. Gary Johnson was his coach then, and remains his coach 16 years later.

The whole gym is hoping Clayton can bring home the gold. The games will be held in London, U.K., from July 27 to August 12.

"I stuck to it, I stayed focus and stayed out of troubleand look where I'm at now. I couldn't ask for anything better," Clayton says.

The CBC's Colleen Jones stopped by the gym to see how his training is going.
