Dartmouth's King's Wharf development brings truck traffic

Truck traffic to King's Wharf in Dartmouth has ramped up in recent weeks, with fill being transported to the condo development from an expansion project at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

Truck traffic to King's Wharf in Dartmouth has ramped up in recent weeks, with fill being transported to the condo development from an expansion project at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

The developer of King's Wharf, Francis Fares, says he has all the necessary approvals and permits to accept the fill.

The good news for thosegrowing tired of the extra traffic isit will likely be done by the end of the week.

"Were creating prime real estate on Halifax harbour," Fares said. "Were creating a beautiful marina and its all part of our development agreement, its part of our plan from day 1 its been 10 years, almost, in the making.

There are already two buildings, and construction on a third is underway.
