First donations for Syrian refugees dropped off at old Rona site

The first donations for Syrian refugees were dropped off at old Rona site in Bayers Lake Saturday.

The first donations were dropped off Saturday at the old Rona building in Bayers Lake.

The building at 350 Horseshoe Lake Drivewas donated this week by developers to store donations needed to help Syrian refugee families who will be arriving in Nova Scotia shortly.

The centre is accepting winter clothes, toiletries, kitchen ware and some furniture, among other items.
