Duane Alan Rhyno's law licence suspended

The Nova Scotia Barristers' Society suspended the licence of Lower Sackville lawyer Duane Alan Rhyno on Friday until further notice.

Rhyno currently faces five charges, including human trafficking and sexual assault

The Nova Scotia Barristers' Society suspended the licence of Lower Sackville lawyer Duane AlanRhynoon Friday until further notice.

On Wednesday, Rhyno wascharged with human trafficking and sexual assault. He wasreleased on his own recognizance and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim.

The 46-year-old was arrested by Kings District RCMP this week after a three-month investigation.

Rhyno has been ordered to return to court Oct.27.

Rhynois charged with:

One count of human trafficking
One count of financial gain from human trafficking
One count of aiding and abetting prostitution
One count of living off the avails of prostitution
One count of sexual assault

None of the charges have been tested in court.
