Halifax police believe Harvey's parking lot shooting was a targeted incident

Halifax Regional Police have a male suspect in custody after shots were fired in the parking lot of a restaurant on Kempt Road on Tuesday afternoon. Another suspect is still at large. Police think the people involved in the shooting know one another.

Halifax Regional Police believe the shootingin the parking lot of a Harvey's restaurant on Tuesday was a targeted incident.

Police responded to a report of a shooting onKempt Roadaround 2:50 p.m.

Shotswere fired between two vehicles before both fledthe area, police said in a news release.

A truck was stopped by police on Purcells Cove Roadwhere a man connected to the incident was arrested, police spokesman Const. Dylan Jackmansaid Wednesday.

A second suspect is still at large. Police believe the people involved in the shooting know one another.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
