Two arrested after Halifax waterfront shooting

Two people were arrested Tuesday evening after reports of a shooting on the Halifax waterfront. A 17-year-old with gunshot wounds showed up at a local hospital.

Two people have been arrested following what police say was a shootingon the Halifax waterfront Tuesday evening that left one teen injured.

Just before 8:30p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Lower Waterand Sackville streets, according to a news release.

Officers arrived on scene but did not find avictim or suspect in the area.

Shortly after, a 17-year-old was dropped off at the QEIIhospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers then found a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident in the 600 block of Main Street in Dartmouth, where they arrested two people.

Police have not released ages or genders of the two suspects.

The investigation is in its early stages, andnocharges have been laid.
