Halifax police investigate possible chocolate bar tampering

Halifax police are investigating a potential food tampering after a man reported discovering a pin after biting into a Godiva bar he'd bought the day before at The Bay in Mic Mac Mall.

Halifax police are investigating after a man reported finding a pin inside achocolate bar on Oct. 3.

Police say the man bought theGodiva bar the day before at The Bay in Mic Mac Mall.He wasn't injured.

The store has since removed the remaining chocolate bars from shelves.

There have been a number of foreign metal objects, mainly nails, found in potatoes bought in Nova Scotia over the last year.

Last year, a pin was found inside a Halloween chocolatein Cole Harbour.

Police ask anyone who findsforeign objects in their food to not throw them out. They shouldcontact police.
