Missing 12-year-old Colchester County girl has been found

A12-year-old girl whowas last seen Monday on Onslow Mountain Road in Belmont, N.S., has been found after police issued a public appeal Friday morning for help locating her.

Police announced Friday afternoon that she'd been located, about four hours after they issued a news release about her disappearance.

RCMP had asked people to be respectful while sharing news about the missing girl.

"When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them," the release said.
