Nova Scotia woman dead after crash on Highway 101
Male passenger taken to hospital with serious injuries
A 38-year-old woman from Kings County, N.S., died in a single-vehicle collision Friday, RCMP say.
The crash took place on Highway 101 between exits 8 and 8A, near Lockhartville.
In a news release, RCMP said witnesses described a small blue car rolling off the highway and stopping in the median.
The collisionwas reportedat 7:17p.m.
Thewoman was the driver of the vehicle and was found dead at the scene. A 57-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
Traffic was temporarily diverted while a collision analyst was on scene, but the highway reopened at 5 a.m. Saturday.
