Police have ID'd another witness in homicide

Police have identified one of two males who may be potential witnesses to the assault that resulted in the death of 26-year-old Kaylin Todd Diggs early Saturday morning, but police are still looking for the second witness.

Police have identified one of two males who may be potential witnesses to the assault that resulted in the death of 26-year-old Kaylin Todd Diggs early Saturday morning, but police are still looking for the second witness.

On Monday,police released pictures of three potential witnesseswho were subsequently identified.

On Tuesday afternoon, police released pictures of two men believed to be present when the assault took place. Investigators are interested in speaking to these men to determine what, if anything,they may have seen.

Diggs died from his injuries after he was assaulted in the city's bar district early Saturday morning. Police received a call at about 3:45 a.m. about a disturbance near the corner of Argyle and Sackville streets.

Upon arrival, officers located Diggs lying on the ground. He was transported to hospital where he passed away a short time later. An autopsy concluded he died as a result of injuries sustained in the assault and his death has been ruled a homicide.

Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unitbelieve there were many people in the area when the incident occurred.
