Police turn to public to ID suspect in Dartmouth shooting

Halifax Regional Police say someone fired multiple shots at a man who was waiting at a bus stop on Colford Avenue early on Monday morning. They have released photos of the suspect and are hoping someone in the public knows who it is.

Police in Halifax are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth on Monday morning.

Police were called to the 100 block of Colford Avenue at 6:40 a.m. and found a man who had been shot. The man was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect fired multiple shots at the man, who was waiting at a bus stop. They saythe suspect got away on a motorcycle. Police think the suspect was around the MacKay Bridge shortly after the shooting.

In a release Friday, police released twophotos of the suspect. He was wearing a black jacket over a grey hoodie, darkjeans, sneakers and a black helmet. He was riding a blue and grey sport-style motorcycle.
