Sable Island worker airlifted to Halifax hospital for medical care
A Parks Canada worker had to be airlifted to a Halifax hospital from Sable Island following a medical emergency.

A Cormorant helicopter was called in to airlift a Parks Canada worker from Sable Island on Saturday after a medical emergency.
The island's runway was washed out, preventing any airplanes from landing onFridaywhen the medical emergency was reported,Halifax's Joint Rescue CoordinationCentre said.
The helicopter from CFB Greenwood was dispatched and picked up the man who was taken to the QE II Health Sciences Centre.
There has been no word on the man's condition.
