Men stabbed in Halifax, Trenton

There were two more stabbing in Nova Scotia early Sunday.

There were two more stabbings in Nova Scotia early Sunday.

Halifax had its second stabbing of the weekend at 2:30 a.m. A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen inside the Palace nightclub.

Halifax Regional Policesaid he managed to get outside before collapsing on the sidewalk. Police and bouncers helped the man before paramedics took him to hospital with serious injuries.

"Witnesses at the scene provided police with a description of the party responsible for the attack and within approximately five minutes, patrol units located and arrested a male suspect," saidStaff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden.

The 21-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

Trenton man stabbed on High Street

In Trenton, near New Glasgow, a 36-year-old man was stabbed at 5:30 a.m.

New Glasgow Police responded to a call at High Street and found the man suffering from serious stab wounds. He was taken to hospitalin stable condition.

Police have made no progress inSaturday's stabbing in Halifax. A man, 28, was found with what were described as life-threatening injuries at a parking garage on Granville Street.

Police have no witnesses or suspects in that case. The victim remains in hospital.
