1 person dead in single-vehicle ATV collision

One person has died in a single-vehicle collision in Tyendinaga Township, Ont., according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Police said Tuesday they were called just after 7 p.m. on Sunday to the scene of the collision on Salmon River Road involving an all-terrain vehicle.

The49-year-oldfrom Tyendinaga Township waspronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

Salmon River Road is about60 kilometres west from downtown Kingston and 180 kilometres southwest from downtown Ottawa.
