1 new COVID-19 case in Ottawa

Ontario's Ministry of Health said Wednesday there is one new case of COVID-19 in Ottawa and 23 new in the province.

Ontario's Ministry of Health said Wednesdaythere is onenew case of COVID-19 in Ottawa and 23new in the province.

Ottawa's case is a man in his 20s who had travelled to the United States and is self-isolating, the ministry said.

This brings the total to 14 in Ottawa, all linked to travel. An Ottawa man in his 60s who's tested positive for COVID-19 remains in hospital, but is not in intensive care, according to local public health officials.

There are27 in eastern Ontario, with fiveresolved or no longer considered contagious, and one deathin Barrie,Ont.

As of Wednesday,Quebec had 94confirmed casesincluding the first in the OutaouaisandCanada had more than 560.

A total of eight deaths in Canada have now been linked to COVID-19,sevenin B.C.
