Cyclist killed in crash near Pembroke

A 53-year-old cyclist is dead after he was hitby a transport truck Saturday morning near Pembroke, Ont.

The crash happened just before9 a.m.on Greenwood Road in Laurentian Valley Township, Ontario Provincial Police said in a social media post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The force's collision investigation team has been dispatched to thescene, OPP said.

The man's name has not been released.
