Do-it-yourself renovations can save a pile of money, but a new television program is shining a light on those homeowners who in taking on more than they can handle become architects of their own demise.

Carpenters Matt and Andrew Carson talked to Robyn Bresnahan on Ottawa Morning about tales of DIY disaster on the new reality show I Wrecked My House.

The show, hosted by Comedian Steve Patterson from The Debaters, airs on HGTV on Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
